Benefits of Banana Peel Tea for Menopausal Women

Bananas are so much more than their delicious, sweet flavor; they are a potent and nutritious food that has grown in popularity over recent years. However, many people want to get the most out of their food, and one of the best options is using banana peels. While most people discard the peel of a banana, there are many uses for this part of the fruit. Recently renewed interest in banana peel tea has made headlines as one of the most beneficial uses for nutrient-rich peels, and especially noteworthy is the incredible benefits that this tea can bring to menopausal women. When it comes to menopause-related symptoms, those experiencing this difficult time can struggle to find relief. Hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, anxiety, and frequent mood swings, to name a few, are common signs of menopause and can be challenging to manage. Nothing seems to work at times, but diets and lifestyle changes can be vital to ensuring the body continues to keep going even once menopause occurs. This is why banana peel tea has been identified as a fantastic tool for women!

Banana peel tea is considered beneficial to menopausal women because it is known as a natural source of bioactive compounds, like flavonoids and other vital nutrients. It is known to help relieve symptoms of menopause and make these uncomfortable times a bit easier. The peel's high levels of vitamin B6, essential minerals, and calcium benefit the body. They can help with menopause symptoms as well as promote overall health.

In addition, some women claim that banana peel tea has improved their digestion and memory. Dr. Rob Danoff, director of the Family Practice Residency Program at Aria Health in Philadelphia and a clinical professor of family and emergency medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, says that "Banana peel is rich in a compound called lutein, which helps with the reduction of inflammation in the body. It is especially beneficial for women during menopause as it helps to reduce the symptoms and provide relief." if you are a menopausal woman looking for relief and wanting to try something natural. In that case, a cup of banana peel tea may be exactly what you need to ease some uncomfortable symptoms. Make sure to use the elements of the peel, like the inner yellow skin, the white-greenish part, and the veins present in it, and buy organic ones free from pesticides to benefit from this natural remedy.

To make the tea, boil the peeled banana during 10-15 minutes and then strain the mixture. Drink it warm or cold according to your preferences, and enjoy the potential relief it can bring!
